Leilani's Birthday



On Friday 20 February Room 2 celebrated Leilani's birthday. She bought in cake and other goodies for us to share. Happy birthday Leilani!

"Today we went to Hansel and Gretel" said Leilani. "I liked it" said Peyton. "It was funny" said Ruby. Martin said "It was awesome".


"The Gnomes were funny" Rahmana said. "They were under the spell of the witch and they were trying to get Hansel and Gretel" Said Franshey. 


 
"This is the witch she is naughty. She put a spell on Hansel and Gretel's uncle" said Jakaiya. "The witch pretended she was an old lady to trick the kids" said Ruby. "The witch looked like a teacher" said Leilani! ("OK" said Whaea Lou!!)


"They dropped a curtain and there was the candy house" Hainite said. "It looks yummy" Said Jade. "Hansel and Gretel broke the wand of the witch and she disappeared" Said Franshey. 
"Gretel ate the house" said Martin. "It was so cool" said Chloe.  "It was really fun" Phoenix said. "I liked it" said Fatima. "They painted the house themselves" said Khaia. "The house was covered in lollies. I wish it was my house" said Alyssa and the other children agreed! "I liked the show" said Angel.

Week 1


We are well underway for 2015 in Te Ruma Rua! We have spent some time getting to know each other during week 1 as well as starting our reading, writing programme and starting our statistics unit.  Our focus for the term is All About Me.
